Song of the Week

Slayer is perhaps one of the greatest metal bands to ever exist.  Having a career over a span of 25 years, the band continues to work on songs that will forever make them unforgettable.  One particular lucky tune is “War Ensemble,” originally off the “Season of the Abyss” album.  Fast usage of single note riffs and power chords much ike Metallica, Slayer is able to lock into the future a true meaning of playing music greatly influenced by the Punk Rock and early era of Judas Priest and Black Sabbath.  Furthermore, dual guitar soloing from guitarists Kerry King and Jeff Hannerman are important for abrasive songs like this.  Dave Lombardo’s speedy drumming drives the band to drive over the speed limit of music.  Check out the official music video of “War Ensemble” and do not forget to like this post!
