Rock Films


Music and movies go hand-in-hand. In fact, there have been films that have no sounds but music, such as Nosferatu (1922). Over the past several decades, though, the film industry has become interested in making movies about musicians and bands. These films come in all sorts of variations from conceptual to full concerts with video clips of the musicians’ home lives thrown in. Many of these are poorly done, but a select few of them are amazing, and should be seen by everyone! Here is a list of a few of my favorites.

Four new musicians try to scam their way into a KISS concert. They have to deal with an anti-rock ‘n’ roll mom who rips up their show tickets, disco fans, and anti-KISS conservatives. They will stop at nothing to see their idols.
