After a long 31 years in the music industry, R&B legend Johnny Gill’s first love is still music.

Last week, the “My, My, My” crooner released his seventh solo album, Game Changer, featuring the single “Behind Closed Doors.”

In an effort to promote his latest project, Johnny stopped by GlobalGrind’s offices to discuss his new album, shooting the video for “Behind Closed Doors” with his longtime friend and Eddie Murphy’s wife Nicole Murphy, and being the “sixth man” of New Edition.

He also reminisced about the first time he met Bobby Brown and being brought in to join New Edition when Bobby and Ralph Tresvant decided to leave the group in the late ’80s.

Game Changer is currently available on iTunes. Watch Johnny’s exclusive interview above.
