Album Review: “The New Order” Testament

Could Testament just be a great band or what.  Tel me why there is no such thing as the “Big Five” thrash metal group, Slayer, Anthrax, Metallica, Megadeth, and Testament?  “The New Order” is Testament’s second studio album released in the year 1988 under Megaforce/Atlantic Records.  Songs like ” Disciples of the Watch” provides ultimate shredding of guitarist Eric Peterson and Alex Skolnick at almost their best. For “Eerie Inhabitants,” Skolnick and Malmsteen clash together in the solo.  “Into the Pit” provides the kind of abrasive feeling of music you find in other bands like Metallica and Megadeth.  Amazing playing of Peterson and Skolnick blows your mind away with what these two musicians can do.  Chuck Billy’s unbelievable vocals on political corruption, doom, etc energizes the band’s crowds.  Want to know something else? Aerosmith’s famous song “Nobody’s Fault” makes an appearance.  This album is worth every dollar spent. [B]
