Metal Monday

Like Metallica? Well, “Trapped Under Ice” is found under Metallica’s third studio album “Ride the Lighting.”  The fury of Kirk Hammett’s soloing and picking single riffs up on the guitar builds up his normal style of music, using speed to thrash his six-stringed-instrument.  Also, he is listed as one of the greatest metal guitarists.

There is no speed limit when it comes to music.  Slayer decides for years has taken songs to the net level.  By infusing influences of hardcore punk rock and heavy metal together, you got yourself some high horsepower engine ready to rumble.  Slayer’s song “South of Heaven” undoubtedly has triplet single notes and power chords.  The group has also become one of the greatest thrash metal groups.

Slayer is more than just a heavy metal group.  They have achieved major success, which has earned them the spot of the “Big Four” of thrash metal Anthrax, Metallica, and Megadeth.  “Dead Skin Mask” from the “Season of the Abyss” album, displays the dual guitar solos that guitarists Kerry King and Jeff Hannerman were known for.  Even more amazing are the power chords and Tom Araya’s proficient vocals that has made Slayer what they are today.  Check out the song below.

Probably one of the greatest metal songs I can think of, it comes down to “Master of Puppets” by Metallica.  A song requiring a lot of speed, the band has proved to many people as one of the greatest metal group to exist next to Deep Purple and Black Sabbath.  Genius power cords used by James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett.  Even more amazing, Hammett provides solos that will probably make any new metal fan drop their jaws to the ground.  Danish drummer Lars Ulrich is the captain for Metallica that provides what speed the band is going at.  Check out a video of this awesome being performed.

Hey remember the good days of hearing a System of a Down song?  Well get ready to hear one.  “BYOB” also known as “Bring Your Own Bombs,” is probably one of the most well-known songs of the experimental group.  The loud guitar playing Daron Malakian and Serj Tankian’s energetic voice.  This song is also featured in the music video game “Guitar Hero World Tour.”  “BYOB” is found on the band’s fourth studio album “Mezmerize.”  Check out the official song video below.
